A work developed by a team of 59 people who specialize in history, art, philology, law, human geography, physical geography, forestry engineering, agricultural engineering, mobility, water, archeology, architecture, urban planning, territory and landscape, which during more than One year they physically and mentally traveled the road, to rediscover the uses and elements that characterize the historical territory of the Camino for its valuation, protection, management and planning, within the framework of a courageous commitment, which in 2007 began the Department of Culture of the Xunta de Galicia, a work that was conceived as a turning point in the integrated management of roads.
In honour of our motto, all traces were traversed, systematizing the collection of data at each point where the road changed, the work was organized with several teams travelling the path on foot and, another support, travelling its territory in a transversal way. This work and the methodology designed were the basis of a doctoral thesis and two master thesis.
